Comprehensive Diagnostic Audiologic Evaluation in St John's
At Red Door Hearing, your diagnostic hearing evaluation is a comprehensive and personalized process that begins with a detailed case history. We'll gather information about your hearing and overall health to better understand your unique needs and concerns.
Our experienced clinicians will use otoscopy to visually examine your ear canal and eardrum. We will comfortably measure your eardrum's mobility and assess your middle ear with tympanometry. In our acoustically treated test suite your sensitivity to frequency-specific tones and to speech will be checked using audiometry. The entire visit is interesting, comfortable and easy to follow and takes roughly 45 minutes
Tip for success
Bringing a friend/family member with you to your hearing test will help you recall new information and support your decisions arising from your new-found knowledge. Two heads really are better than one!
Your clinician will then review the results with you and answer any and all questions you may have about your hearing and what your options are for improvement.
